About Us

Welcome to Flower Essence Therapy!

I am one of 108 registered Bach Flower practitioners (BFRP's) in the United States. That means I am on the International Register of Bach Flower Practitioners, which requires 1 year of Bach-sponsored training, 9 months of internship and case study work and approval from the Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, England. Each year I must renew my registration through submission of a discourse on continuing education, advances in therapeutic techniques and insights and personal transformations. I have also completed Bach Teacher Training to teach Level 1 and I have completed practitioner training in the North American Flower Essences with the Flower Essence Society.

My FET practice began in 1999. Private sessions are held in my office in the Lionville Natural Pharmacy Holistic Health Center. I offer phone consultations nationally and internationally and conduct workshops and lunch n learns throughout the region.

My Background:
My degree is in soil science and my career focus has been preservation and restoration of ecological integrity through water quality monitoring, land preservation and environmental education. Before flower essence therapy, I worked for NASA in satellite data interpretation, EPA monitoring air and water quality, as Scientist-in-Residence in middle schools teaching environmental science and as executive director of Chester County, PA's Agricultural Land Preservation Program.

I am an herbalist and love to garden with medicinal plants. I have established a botanical sanctuary, which serves as an education facility and sacred habitat for at-risk medicinal plants. I conduct seminars which focus on factors affecting habitat integrity and provide hands-on experience with backyard "weeds", their contribution to medicinal and food traditions and their ecological niche.

In my flower essence practice, I describe the connection between a plant's form in nature and its function as an essence. The treatments prepared are based on empirical data and intuitive perception in combination with my education and experience.

My Mission:
Personal and planetary health are intimately intertwined. Both are a reflection of our willingness and ability to listen to and act upon nature's innate wisdom. You are what you eat, think, feel and absorb from your environment. My mission is to facilitate internal harmony in the hope that this harmony may extend to the planet and all with whom it is shared.

Green Blessings,

Charlene
